The Independent Qualification Commission has dismissed the judge of the Tirana Court of Appeals, Artur Gaxha. The reason for the dismissal of the judge were problems with a property and the inability to justify it with legal sources.
According to the investigation, Gaxha did not justify an apartment worth EUR 10,000, with an area of 124 square meters bought in co-ownership with his wife in 2004.
The judge also wasn't able to prove the source of money for the purchase of a garage worth 3.2 million ALL and arable land in Mjull Bathore totalling 900 m2.
He also stated that he won $84,000 from a lottery in 2006.
