The European Union has pledged €5 million to help Kosovo fight coronavirus.
The EU delegation in Kosovo announced the news following public backlash after reports that the union donated €7.5 million to Serbia but only words of support to Kosovo.

The delegation’s announcement included charts showing that their contributions to Kosovo exceeded €450 million during the last six years.

Unaware of any concrete efforts by the EU to allocate funds to Kosovo and relying on the delegation’s tweet of two days ago, many were quick to criticize the EU for neglecting the country. Some comments accused EU that it is trying to appease Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vučić who blasted the alleged lack of support by the EU, stating that he will turn to China instead.
